Project: “Promotion of self-employment of endangered groups through the support to establishing new craft shops” Programme: Dutch Embassy The goal of this project is to allow self-employment for unemployed mid-aged men (40/55) who lost their jobs when a number of companies were closed after the war and who are now no longer competitive at the labour market but who, at the same time, wish to develop their own business, thus allowing creating new jobs both for themselves and others. With the assistance of CIDEA the programme users established an Association and then launched an initiative to establish the first craft shop the development and work of which will be supported by this project and allow employment of minimum 25 people of this population. Status: being evaluated Project: “Promotion of self-employment through strengthening of entrepreneurial spirit and development of handicraft market” Programme: Norwegian Embassy The goal of this project is to allow self-employment for endangered group of people primarily by means of education, development of their entrepreneurial skills, promotion and improvement of the handicraft market, and, at the same time, allow the preservation of traditional skills and techniques. Status: being evaluated Project “SOLAR 365” Programme: MED programme of trans-national cooperation, Call for Proposals 2009 The goal of this project is to identify a common strategy and innovative technological solutions for the use of solar energy in the countries covered by the MED programme. The intention of the project is to improve the existing experience and transfer knowledge on solar systems used for heating and cooling and to encourage the application of EU Directive 2002/91CE. Partners in the project are relevant institutions from the following countries: Italy, Spain, Malta, Portugal, France, Greece, Slovenia and Cyprus. Status: being evaluated Project: “Raising Public Awareness on Sustainable Development: Energy and Climate Changes” Programme: CEI Cooperation Fund The goal of this project is to raise public awareness through promotional activities, multi-media presentations, conferences and promotional material, starting from the first-graders to the highest ranking officials, about the issues concerning the environmental pollution and its effect on our daily lives, with special consideration given to how production and the use of energy affect climate changes. At the same time, this project proposes and promotes new scientific and technological solutions. Partners in the project are relevant institutions from the following countries: Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro and Macedonia. Status: being implemented Project: “Development of mini-plants for the production of high-value products in rural areas” Programme: the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs The goal of this project is to prevent rural-urban migrations, to revive rural areas of Banja Luka and start up the production of traditional high-value products of the area by the means of establishing and developing mechanisms for the support to mini-plants/small production companies/ which will include the following components: educational programmes, consulting, facilitated access to the funds for the development of economic activities in rural areas, especially in the field of agriculture and tourism and the like.
